All my life I've thought adulthood was that time in the future when I wouldn't cry, and I wouldn't get frustrated over minor things, and wouldn't be socially awkward, and would be infinitely adaptable and able to handle anything. When I would be the person who people kept wanting me to be, rid of all the problems that kept getting me into trouble.

So now that I know that's not going to happen, how will I know when I'm grown up?

Depends on when you get your clue.

In my experience, people don't really grow up until they're in their 40s. But you do slowly stop being a child long before that... Funnily enough, just before I saw your entry I was thinking of one morning in Dominica when I woke up & G & her boyfriend looked at me & told me my face had changed overnight. It's funny; there was nothing special about that particular night. I didn't entirely believe them because I couldn't see any change. But it turned out everyone else could.

I could say more, but I'm feeling really pessimistic this morning & it's probably better not to!

When you feel you have, IMO. Besides, who says you have to grow up? :)

Is the new Casey Stratton album any good?

I really like the new album so far. Some songs are excellent, and even the ones that I found underwhelming at first are growing on me.
