We've misused our free will
And we've messed with the plan
We are fallen
Lost in the garden

 - "Calling All Angels" by Eliza Gilkyson

I was listening to this the other day, and I started wondering... how do you misuse free will? Doesn't free will imply that there is no way to misuse it? That you can use it however you want? Morality is a different issue. It's not part of free will. The only way it's connected is that without free will, morality would be meaningless, because there would be no way to choose to act morally or otherwise. To say you can misuse free will is like saying it will be (or should be) taken away if you use it wrong, which sort of negates the concept of free will.

Reminds me of the very beginning of Nietzsche's The Gay Science... Quote: "I no longer know whether you, my dear fellow man and neighbor, are at all capable of living in a way that would damage the species; in other words, 'unreasonably' and 'badly.' What might have harmed the species may have become extinct many thousands of years ago and may by now be one of those things that are not possible even for God. Pursue your best or your worst desires, and above all perish! In both cases you are probably still in some way a promoter and benefactor of humanity..."

Not quite what you're saying, but there's some similarity, I think.

Yea, I would have to agree with you.
